On June 23，2010，H.E. Bharrat Jagdeo, President of the Republic of Guyana, sent a message of condolence to H.E. Hu Jintao, President of the People’s Republic of China, in connection with the recent flood and landslides in Southern part of China.

In the message, President Jagdeo, on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Guyana, extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of the People’s Republic of China for the loss of lives and destruction to property caused by the recent flood and landslides in Jiangxi Province and other parts of southern China. He hoped that through the resilient spirit of the Chinese people, the country, particularly the affected Provinces, will soon be returnd to a state of normalcy.
