On August 10, 2020, Ambassador Cui Jianchun paid a courtesy call to the newly elected President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, H.E. Dr. Irfaan Ali, and relayed a congratulatory message from H.E. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China.

Ambassador Cui stressed that the Chinese government is committed to working with the government of Guyana in strengthening the bilateral good relations between the two countries and the two peoples.
