"China in Guyanese Eyes" Original Work Contest
2019/06/07

As early as 1853, the first batch of Chinese came to Guyana, where they survived and thrived and became one of the six major ethnic groups in Guyana. On June 27, 1972, Guyana took the lead in establishing diplomatic relations with China among English-speaking Caribbean countries. Since then, bilateral relations between China and Guyana have continued to develop steadily and healthily, and bilateral exchanges and cooperation have been deepened. In order to commemorate the 47th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Guyana and to welcome the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese Embassy in Guyana is to hold an original work contest on the theme of " China in Guyanese Eyes " as of today, to enhance mutual understanding and bonds between our two people.
