On June 15, 2021, Mr. Chen Xilai, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, handed over a batch of flood relief items to Major Benons, Deputy Director General of the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) of Guyana. Chen sent his sincere condolences to the families that affected by flooding and expressed his confidence that they can surely overcome the difficulties with the common efforts of the CDC, the Guyanese government, civil society and the international community.
