The Chinese Embassy in Guyana held a reception on January 24 in celebration of 2014 Spring Festival. Nearly 100 guests from the Chinese community and companies in Guyana attended the function.

     In his speech, H.E. Mr. Zhang Limin, Chinese Ambassador to Guyana reviewed China’s new achievements in economic and social development and the new progress of China-Guyana friendly relations of cooperation in 2013. Ambassador Zhang extended season’s greetings and good wishes to the Chinese community in Guyana and expressed gratitude for their efforts in promoting cooperation between China and Guyana and enhancing the friendship between two peoples. Ambassador Zhang assured the Chinese community of the Embassy’s wholehearted service in the coming year.

     The guests thanked Ambassador Zhang and the Embassy for the solid work done for the local Chinese people and companies. They expressed their willingness to keep in touch with the Embassy and make continuous efforts to promote bilateral cooperation and friendship.
