On December 22, Ambassador Cui Jianchun and Minister of Health of Guyana, Hon. Frank Anthony attended the handover ceremony of medical supplies aided by China to Guyana and the visual anesthesia center equipment to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation(GPHC). Representatives from the 16th Chinese Medical Brigade and GPHC attended the ceremony.

The medical supplies were donated by the National Health Commission of China and the government of Jiangsu Province.
